Who we are
Savaree “Sav” Hazard-Chaney is a 401-based self taught artist. She uses culture, community and design through her work to connect and build. Her exploration and passion for “rug tufting” has found Rhode Isalnd’s FIRST Black, Queer and Woman-owned Tufting Studio.
Her artist led workshops are innovative and inviting! The value of her experience and uniqueness of her work has propelled her into numerous gallery and activation spaces. INCLUDING bring TuftxPVD to LA and teaching the EGOT herself, Jennifer Hudson! How to tuft a rug!
With a strong commitment to community Sav hopes her experience and knowledge will help inspire not only the fiber arts community but also other young black entrepreneurs.
